Time got me this week, it got Kate too! I had this idea for a while and knew I wanted to play with this lovely quote from Lauren Bacell, but the week sort of just flew by and suddenly it was Tuesday. All in All I actually really love what we created! I swear as we get closer to the end of the year the weeks are all sort of merging into one big giant week blur. This week is going to be much the same, I am heading to Auckland to throw a Bridal Shower for one of my dearest friends, plus, I have 3 photoshoots booked, which is exciting. Who said you can’t mix business with play?

Week 10! Its almost like every week is a mini anniversary. This week my mind was a little creatively blocked, the weekend rolled around a little idea started to infiltrate, so I headed down to the second hand store and bought a couple of cute plates … that then sat on my desk until last night. It’s not that I wasn’t excited about it, other things just seemed to pop up. Having a deadline a week is proving to be really good for me, although, with the photo season coming into its prime its definitely making me re evaluate the way in which I use my time. Not that that’s a bad thing. And now we are onto K. I have a feeling this one is going to get cutesy. I may try and resist it.

We all have people in our lives that we are thankful for. For me, Rachael and Mason are two of those people. I have known Rach for years, almost 20 if we are counting. I have watched her grow from a little tutu wearing toddler into an amazing mother to her adorable son mason and not only have I been around to document these moments, from her pregnancy through to now, I have been lucky enough to have been allowed into a special place in both of their lives. While the sun was out, we got to steal away to the park for an hour and play in front of my camera. It was a pretty great way to spend an afternoon.

Everyone knows that the Wellington weather can be unpredictable. But about 10 minutes into Natalie and Lukes photo session, we were hit with a rather full on weather bomb. Think high winds, pouring rain, and a chill factor of freezing! But these guys were absolute troopers. The bonus of it all of course, were moody skies, big umbrellas and a good excuse to snuggle up ... it was pretty near perfect I think. A big thanks to the beautiful Nat and Luke for coming out to play. You two are fabulous.

Yum! Who doesnt love Ice-cream? So I used this week to get away from the computer a little, and spend some time with my old friends, needle and floss. Im pretty happy with how it ended up turning out, and a nice little piece to add to the collection. Ive been feeling a little under the weather this week, so hoping that it turns around soon! Because goodness knows what the heck I am going to do for J. Because its not an easy letter. I tell you that much now.

This weekend I got to spend some time with two of the cutest cats out, Danii and Kurt are just adorable right? Talk about good looking too. And even though the weather wasn't exactly what I would call cooperative, the end result was pretty darn beautiful, if I do say so myself. Danii's gorgeous make up was done by the super talented Jactina Emily Make Up, you will be seeing a lot more where that came from too! Im excited for what we have in stall over the next few months. Thank you so much Danii and Kurt, you two were so fun, and playful, and just a joy to photograph.

What a crazy week, I won’t lie it was down to the last night for me to finish my piece this week, although … I am pretty happy with it. It’s something, different and yet familiar for me so I have to say, I like it. I have so many things on the go at the moment. With summer on its way (hurray!) photoshoots are starting to book up, which is so exciting! Plus this awesome Movember project is in full swing. Plus I have my beautiful friends’ bridal shower and wedding to help plan for, at least I have my dress for that! Next week I have decided to do something away from the computer… Shock. Horror. Gasp. Play with a medium that I love, and that I have loved for a really long time. It should be fun.

On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing the newly engaged and super lovely Sarah and Craig. These two are just so cute, and so in love ... Which made my job so easy. We has a lot of fun goofing around and battled all the elements that mother nature threw at us. Watching these two interact with each other was a blast, they are so cheeky and full of life. Thanks so much Sarah and Craig for letting me share a little bit of your story. Its already a beautiful one, and it is only just getting started.

After a few technological issues, here we are at week seven. Last week I mentioned that I had an idea for what I was going to do … Well it is probably no surprise that the concept completely went out the window. A big part of that was that my computer decided to have a bit of a tantrum in the middle of the week, so on Sunday night, I changed the entire design, concept, and medium, and went with something new. I hand illustrated this little belle. I always doodle characters so I thought, why not. I quite like her actually, and am thinking about maybe developing a couple of friends for her to sit with too. We shall see. In other news! I have some exciting things in the mix, including a really fabulous project for a really hairy cause. Yip, I am getting involved with another fabulous creative and a project team of PR legends, to raise some funds and some awareness for my favourite themed month of the year. Movember. Watch this space folks, it is going to be bodacious.
